When you’re 14 years old, making the transition to high school is a big deal. It’s a scary and stressful time, and one of your children’s top concerns is making friends.

Research shows continuous participation in sports and activities is associated with having more friends in high school. Sports and activities provide safe settings for students to start new friendships and maintain existing ones.

Participating in high school sports and activities is one of the easiest ways to make new friends. And with friends by their side, your children will have fun, have a greater sense of belonging and feel more connected to their new school.
