POSTS / ALL POSTS / HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS ARE AN EXTENSION OF THE CLASSROOM

Did you know when your children dive into the pool or step onto the field, they’re actually entering a different kind of classroom? It’s true. High school sports are referred to as “education-based athletics” for a reason. It’s because student-athletes learn life lessons that aren’t taught in a traditional classroom and, in fact, may not be taught at home.

Research shows leadership, work ethic and respect are some of the life skills that student-athletes learn when participating in high school sports. Where else can your children learn these important values that will guide them for the rest of their lives?

Encourage your children to participate in high school sports. The subjects in this classroom may not be math, English or science, but the lessons learned will be just as valuable.
